Spanish Water is the lagoon route: you push off from Village Marina at Caracasbaai (Monday to Friday) into one of Curaçao’s most protected stretches of water — mangrove channels, luxury waterfront villas, tiny private islands tucked between the arms of the bay. The water is flat, so you can open the throttle across the wide sections and then drift through the narrow mangrove passages at walking pace. Midway there’s a stop at the Santa Barbara Pier for a swim.
Piscadera Bay is the open-sea route: from the pier at Tomatoes Restaurant (daily), the guide leads you out of the bay and along the west coast past Piscadera Bay and Blue Bay Beach toward Boca Sami. Out here the waves give the machine some movement and the views go wide and wild. On the way back you slip into the calm mangrove zone behind the coastline for a completely different last ten minutes.
Both tours are 45 minutes of riding after a 15-minute briefing — an hour door to door. Small guided groups, your own speed within the guide’s safe distance, no licence and no experience required.
This is the one for first-timers, couples, families with teens (drivers 16+), and cruise guests: an hour total and a short taxi from the terminal. Honest rules: drivers must be 16 or older, passengers at least 130 cm tall, and each Jet Ski carries a maximum combined weight of 160 kg. Leave valuables at your hotel — storage is minimal.
