About This Tour

Skip the resort buffet boat parade. The Bay of Samaná has one of the cleanest reefs in the northern Caribbean — Cayo La Farola — and 20-metre visibility on calm days. This is a sailing day, not a sightseeing crawl.

Cast off at 09:30 from Samaná Town Marina. Sails go up across the bay — the catamaran moves under wind, not motor, so you arrive at the reef as part of the experience rather than after it. Cayo La Farola sits a short sail from the bay's eastern shore. Coral heads, schools of sergeant major and parrotfish, the occasional ray gliding along the sand. Open bar onboard from the moment you board.

Mid-day: sail to Cayo Levantado — the original Bacardi Island from the 1970s rum commercial. Lunch is served at the beach restaurant, included in your ticket. Free time to swim, walk the calm shallows, or sit under the palms. Sail back across the bay in afternoon light — open bar still flowing until you tie up at 16:30.

Tour Itinerary

Welcome at Samaná Town Marina Check in, meet your crew, brief safety walkthrough. Snorkel gear fitted before departure.

Cast off, sails up across the Bay of Samaná Sails open, motor off. Open bar starts as we head east across the bay.

Cayo La Farola reef snorkel Anchor at the reef for roughly 60–75 minutes in the water. Coral heads, schools of tropical fish, sand channels, occasional rays.

Sail to Cayo Levantado, then home Beachside lunch at 12:45, free time on the sand, then the return sail at 15:00 — open bar still flowing. Tie up at Samaná Town Marina by 16:30.
