About This Tour

The afternoon version is for travellers who want Icacos without burning the whole day. The Barefoot IV casts off Villa Marina at 1:00 PM. Forty-five minutes east, you're anchored off the white-sand cay. Swim, snorkel, beachcomb until late afternoon. The light is softer than the morning sail — the El Yunque ridge backlit, the water glassy, the morning boats already on their way home.

Drinks pour from cast-off: piña coladas, rum punch, ice-cold soft drinks. Local chips and snacks on board — no full lunch, this is the afternoon trip for guests who've already eaten. Beach toys come along for the ride: volleyball, football, paddles. The crew runs salsa, reggaetón, and Top 40 on the sail home. Back at the dock by 4:30 PM.

This one is adults only. Couples and adult-leaning groups get more out of the format than families with young children — the morning Day Trip is the better pick for ages 4 to 12.

Tour Itinerary

Check in at Villa Marina Fajardo — Dockside check-in and snorkel gear from the crew.

Cast off — A 45-minute sail east through the Cordillera Cays, anchoring at Cayo Icacos around 1:45 PM.

Time on the cay — Swim, beachcomb, sunbathe and play beach games on shore while the morning boats clear out.

Reef snorkel and sail home — A short repositioning for a snorkel stop, then music on deck for the return. Docked by 4:30 PM.

There was so much space on the boat to lounge, relax and put our stuff away. We had a whole day excursion and went to the a shallow pool and Saona Island.
