Inshore Roosterfish Charter from Los Suenos

Roosterfish is not a bycatch. It is the reason this boat exists.

A 27-foot centre console with twin engines that cruises at thirty knots, set up for light tackle along the rocky structure north and south of Herradura. Lines in the water shortly after seven. The season runs roughly May through November, which is green season, exactly when the offshore fleet is quiet and the inshore water is best. Snapper and jack come over the rail on the same trip. Gear, tackle, bait and ice are on board, along with beer, soft drinks, water, fruit and snacks. Four anglers maximum, because light tackle and crossed lines do not mix.

This is the trip we recommend for anglers who want the roosterfish specifically, for two to four people who do not need a bigger offshore boat, and for anyone fishing in green season. If you want billfish offshore, or a bathroom on board, or room for more than four, take the 31ft sportfishing charter instead.

Which Departure to Choose

Every trip is a private charter of the whole boat for up to 4 anglers, with gear, tackle, bait, ice, beer, soft drinks, water, fruit and snacks included. The hours you select change the food and the time on the water.

4 hours Half day, 7:00 to 11:00 AM or 12:30 to 4:30 PM. Drinks, fruit and snacks onboard. No lunch.

6 hours Three-quarter day, 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Adds a boxed lunch.

8 hours Full day, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Adds a boxed lunch, and gives you the most water time on the structure.

9 hours Fishing plus island, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Fish in the morning, then run to the island for buffet lunch ashore, beach chairs, umbrellas and a snorkelling tour. The format to pick when half your group would rather be on a beach.
