About This Tour
Two hours, six guests, one 48ft powerboat, and the entire San Juan Bay at sunset. You cast off from San Juan Bay Marina 90 minutes before sundown and cruise past Paseo de la Princesa, La Fortaleza (the Governor's Mansion), the San Juan Gate, and the seaward face of El Morro, five centuries of Spanish military architecture lit by the lowering sun.
The captain narrates the history as the boat traces the protected harbour. The sweet spot of the trip comes when the sun drops behind the islet across El Morro and the bay turns gold and pink for about fifteen minutes. Cameras come out. The Bacardi Distillery sits across the bay on the Cataño side, its silhouette catching the last light.
This is the private boat, just your group of up to six. No bus tours, no shared deck. On board you have three hors d'oeuvres, your choice of wine or cava, beer and refreshments. You are back at the marina before dinner, ten minutes by ride to anywhere in Old San Juan or Condado.
