About This Tour

The engine eases off a mile from shore. Ahead of you the sea turns a pale, impossible green over a hidden sandbar — Media Luna, a swimming pool with no walls. This is where the catamaran stops and the whole day slows down.

You sail out from the Miches dock with the mountains on one side and open Caribbean on the other. At Media Luna you snorkel the reef, wade the natural pool waist-deep, and drift up to the floating bar for a cold beer or a rum poured over ice. Then lunch comes off the grill — whole lobster, chicken skewers, pasta salad — while the music plays and the boat rocks gently at anchor.

This is the tour we recommend for couples, families and friend groups who want the real Miches coast: greener than Punta Cana, quieter than Cancún, and still barely on the map. You'll come back with the photo everyone asks about.

There was so much space on the boat to lounge, relax and put our stuff away. We had a whole day excursion and went to the a shallow pool and Saona Island.
