About This Tour
The Marietas Islands are the reason people come to Banderas Bay. A protected national park offshore with clear water, reef fish, rays and the blue footed boobies that nest on the cliffs. Access is capped and the park closes two days a week, which is exactly why it still looks the way it does.
Chartering a private boat for the day starts in the thousands. This is the same park, the same crossing and the same six hours, on a shared departure at a per person price. You share the boat with other guests. Everything else, the snorkelling, the open bar, the lunch, the water toys, is the same day out.
You board at La Cruz Marina, Dock #1 at 9:30 am for a welcome drink and a safety briefing, then cross Banderas Bay. In season, humpbacks surface on the way. At the islands you anchor and snorkel the reef. Then a beach anchor on the way home with music on, bar open, kayaks and paddleboards out, and lunch served on deck.
